Elgin, IL - For the second straight game, the Eagles Men's Soccer Team has been on a scoring spree. After a 7-0 victory mid-week over Calument, the Eagles hosted the University of St. Francis and was dominant again, winning 9-0 over the Saints.
With the win, the Eagles are on a roll. Winners of three straight, Judson is now 5-3-2 overall, and 2-0-0 in conference play. With a favorable midweek match-up next week, hosting St. Ambrose, JU is in a prime position in the standings heading into homecoming week.
What may be more impressive that the Eagles scoring 16 goals in two games, is the fact that Judson has not allowed a goal in four straight games. Sophomore goalie Ivan Dominguez, along with defense is certainly playing at a high level at this point in the season.
On this day, netted five goals in the first half, and four more after the break. Pablo Escobar and Joao Caetano scored two goals each.
Matheus Duarte Torre, Samuel Chavez, Gabriel Uno, Cristobal Corral, and Ruben Ledesma added a goal each in the victory.
Dominguez was credited with three saves as the Eagles outshot St. Francis 29-3.
The Eagles will host St. Ambrose on Wednesday looking to keep their impressive streaks alive.
