Elgin, IL - With the Eagles coming off of a mid week, rare 0-0 tie at Goshen, Judson played host to Spring Arbor on Saturday afternoon.
With a first half that saw a total of four shots, it appeared that this match might be heading toward the same nil nil fate.
But the Eagles came out of the intermission fast. Just five minutes into the half, Erik Morales scored the game's first goal off a rebound, and banged it into the back of the net to put JU on top.
100 seconds later, lightning struck twice as it was Morales again finding the net off an assist from Wilondja Emena. The goals were Morales' first two goals of the season.
Those two quick goals were the only ones of the match as Judson posted their second shutout of the week, this time in a winning fashion. With the win, JU is now 3-3-2 on the season.
In a stingy contest, Judson was able to hold Spring Arbor to just 4 shots, with only one being on goal. The Eagles tallied 11 shots.
Ivan Dominguez gets credited with the victory in net, and did not allow a goal for the week. It is Dominguez' third shutout of the season.
The Eagles will now prepare for CCAC conference play next week when they travel to Calumet mind week, and host St. Francis on Saturday.
