Indianapolis, IN - The Eagles Men's Soccer Team got their season under way with a road trip out to Marian (IN) this afternoon.
The Eagles played well throughout, and scored the lone goal of the first half. Eight minutes in, Samuel Chavez put the first goal of the season in the net, and was assisted by Gabriel Uno.
In the second half, Marian tied the game in the 56th minute. The game was tied until the 80th minute when Chavez and Uno hooked up again, but this time it was Chavez assisting Uno's goal to re-take the lead.
Judson was looking at coming away with the victory, until Marian scored a second game-tying goal with just two minutes left on the clock. The contest would end in the 2-2 tie.
Ivan Dominguez was in goal for Judson and tallied five saves.
JU outshot Marian in the match 15-13.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they host Clarke at Dawn Field on Welcome Weekend.
