Team Effort Nets Eagles Dominate Win

Team Effort Nets Eagles Dominate Win

Elgin, IL - The Eagles Men's Soccer Team took the pitch at Dawson Field for just the second time this season, and they were ready. Judson hosted NCAA Division III Beloit, and were the attackers from start to finish. JU, now 1-1-1, dominated en route to a 6-0 victory over the Buccaneers for their first victory of the season.

The scoring barrage started with Rafael Barreto on a nice rebound goal. Barreto then assisted on goal number two scored by Inigo Capellan

In the second half, the Eagles scored four more goals. Cappellan added his second of the day, along with goals by Samuel Chavez, Pablo Escobar, and Zaid Jimenez

JU were the attackers all match long. The first 18 minutes of the contest seeminly was played on one side of the field. Judson out shot the Bucs an impressive 22-2 for the game. The Eagles were quicker to every loose ball, utilized their speed, and pressured Beloit at every pass.

The Eagles will look to build off of this victory as they prepare to travel to Clarke University in Iowa on Saturday afternoon.
