Wainstein Nets Winner in Final 10 Minutes as Eagles Escape St. Francis With 3-2 Win

Joliet, Ill. The Judson University Men's Soccer Team won its seventh of eight contests on Tuesday with a 3-2 win over St. Francis on Tuesday. The game marked the penultimate contest in regular season play.
Judson had three leads in the contest. Their first goal came in the 11th minute when Rafael Rocha scored from 35 yards out from a pass from Samuel Chavez. After St. Francis tied it early in the second half, Judson added its second goal on a Gabriel Bastos (assist Adrian Bravo) tally in the 61st minute. St. Francis tied the game three minutes later, but Martin Wainstein scored the game's final goal off a Rocha pass in the 84th minute to give the Eagles the 3-2 result. Wainstein and Inigo Capellan had five shots apiece for Judson. Chavez and Capellan each had two shots on goal to lead the team. Cristobal Corral, Pedro Botello, Wainstein, and Rocha had the other shots on goal for the Eagles. Lucas Sala made four saves on six shots to earn his second win of the season.
Judson (7-5-4, 6-2-3 CCAC) looks to improve its seeding in the CCAC regular-season finale as senior day will occur on October 29 at 2:30 p.m. at Dawson Field.
