Crystal Lake, IL A beautiful day at the MAC Athletic Complex it was for the Judson Men's Soccer Team as they took on Trinity Christian. The Eagles scored most of their goals in the first half but continued the same pressure on the opposing defense in the second half. Adding a few goals in the second half, Judson was able to come out on top finishing the match 5-1.
Scoring the first goal of the match within the first 4 minutes was Samuel Chavez. A corner kick deflection landed perfectly for him to put it in the back of the net for a Judson 1-0 lead. Rafael Rocha scored the second goal for Judson off an assist from Chaves. The duo of Rocha and Chaves helped push the Eagles to victory. They were able to each able to score another goal bringing them to 2 goals apiece while Chavez assisted both of Rocha's goals. A goal from the Trolls in the middle of the first half did not faze the Eagles as they went into the second half only for Inigo Capellan to place a ball in the bottom right corner of the net in the 59th minute.
The defense of the Eagles was key in this win as they were able to move the ball around the field efficiently while making everyone on the field better. Goalie Mateo Ojesto had a great game as well saving three of four shots on target.
The Eagles look to continue their winning streak this Saturday at Roosevelt.
