Crown Point, IN . The Judson University Men's Soccer Team Earned win #1 in convincing fashion on Friday night as the Eagles took down the Indiana-Northwest RedHawks by the score of 5-1.
Judson got the scoring started early as Wilondja Emena scored in the game's first 40 seconds when he scored off a pass from Inigo Capellan. Martin Wainstein doubled the lead off a pass from Samuel Chavez in the 23rd minute. Four minutes prior to half, Judson scored their third goal of the contest when Gabriel Trevisan converted a Rafa Rocha pass to make it 3-0. IUNW scored with 10 seconds remaining in the first half to make it 3-1 at halftime. Judson extended the lead in the second half on goals from Matheus Duarte (assisted by Trevisan) and Rocha (Trevisan).
Rocha led the team with six total shots and had five shots on target. Trevisan had five shots, all of which were on goal. Duarte and Wainstein had multiple shots on target for the Eagles as well. Mateo Ojesto helped extend Judson's undefeated streak to two with a save on two shots on target.
Judson (1-4-4) hosts Trinity Christian on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the MAC in Crystal Lake.
