Deerfield, IL The Judson Mens' Soccer Team had a very offensive contest versus Trinity International despite a 0-2 loss in the match. A surplus of shots driven towards goal from multiple players was not enough to bring forth a goal for the Eagles.
Staring out the first half, the Eagles and Trojans were offered similar openings in terms of goal-scoring offerings. In the 12th minute, ITU pulled ahead. The Eagles stayed aggressive bringing out 13 shots in the first half and 20 shots in the second. Constant pressure on the opposition goalkeeper resulted in 11 of the total 33 shots requiring saving.
Captian Rafael Rocha led the Eagles with 8 shots with 2 being on goal. Matheus Duarte followed him with a solid 6 attempts at goal and 2 on target as well. Martin Wainstein finished with 2 shots on target with a total of 5 shots. Despite both of their yellow cards during the match, Gabriel Trevisan contributed 4 shots and Samuel Chavez contributed 1 shot in the match.
Judson hosts Olivet Nazarene at the MAC next Tuesday for their fourth conference match of the season.
