Crystal Lake, IL . The Judson University Men's Soccer Team earned a point in its first CCAC match of the season as the Eagles tied Governors State 1-1 on Saturday.
The Eagles got on the board first when Gabriel Trevisan scored on a long boot from his own half of the field that bounced over the Jaguar goalie to make it 1-0 Judson in the 10th minute. Two minutes later Governors State leveled the match on a converted free kick.
Despite being outshot in total shots 12-10, Judson had the advantage in shots on target (6-4). Trevisan led the team with two shots on goal. Martin Wainstein, Jose Cruz, Christian Horstmann, and Anthony Montesinos had the other shots on target. Alan Martinez made three saves on four shots on target for Judson.
The Eagles (0-3-2, 0-0-1 CCAC) will travel to Notre Dame, Indiana to face Holy Cross College on Tuesday.
