Crystal Lake, Ill. -- The Judson University Men's Soccer Team fell to Clarke 1-0 on Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles outplayed Clarke for much of the 90 minutes in Thursday's non-conference matchup. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Clarke scored a goal off a turnover early in the second half, which proved to be the difference.
Judson set the pace of play on a warm 84-degree afternoon. The Eagles outshot the Pride 20-6 overall and 7-4 in shots on target. Rafael Rocha had four shots, one of which was on target, to lead the Eagles. Martin Wainstein had three shots, of which two were on goal. Gabriel Trevisan, Rafael Barreto, and Joaquin Viteri had the other shots on goal for Judson. Alan Martinez made three saves on four attempts in the loss.
Judson (0-2-1) faces Bethel next Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Crystal Lake.
