Sippy and McCoy Lead Way for Eagles at CCAC Championship
Wilmington, IL The Judson University Men's Golf Team participated in the CCAC Golf Championship on Monday and Tuesday from Wilmington, Illinois. The tournament was played at Cinder Ridge Golf Course and was hosted by Olivet Nazarene University. The tournament was a three-round event.
Judson as a team finished in eighth place out of 10 teams. Alex Sippy shot a 258 (+ 42) after shooting an 84 on day one, an 81 on day two, and a 93 on day three. He finished tied for 30th. RJ McCoy improved on his first-day total of a 95 with an 89 on day two and an 83 on day three to finish in with a 267 (+51, 33rd place). Bodhi Bralich had his best round on day one with an 87, and followed it up with a 98 and an 89 to finish with a 274 (+58), which placed him tied for 36th. Patrick Owens and Blake Foster finished with identical scores of 277 (+61) to tied for 39th. Both golfers shot identical 91s on day one. Foster shot a 99 on day two, but came back with an 87 on day three. Owens shot a 96 on day two and a 90 on day three.
This match concludes the Judson 2022-23 golf season as the teams will now look forward to the fall.
