Judson Men's Golf Wins NCCAA Regional, Haakenson Earns Top-5 Finish
Wisconsin Dells, WI The Judson University Men's Golf Program took first place in the NCCAA Regional Championship with a total team score of 657 strokes. 21 strokes ahead of the competition.
Nick Swierczynski led Judson with a second-place overall finish with a 160 (+16) overall score, 5 strokes behind first place. Robert Carr finished fourth overall with a 163 score. Blake Foster and Ethan Suits finished fifth and sixth respectively with 164 and 170-stroke finishes.
Swierczynski, Carr, and Foster earn NCCAA All-Region status for placing in the top 5 finishers. Coach John Wedell earns NCCAA Region Coach of the Year honors for his team winning the regional championship.
On the women's side, Grace Haakenson shot a 184 in two rounds to finish fifth. She finishes as an all-region member with her placement. Lynsie Pietrzak finished 11th (206) and Lauren Semerau finished 12th (212).
Judson's teams will next participate in its own invitational on Monday at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Illinois.
