Eagles Do Well In Opener
Rockford, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles kicked off the season at the Golden Eagle Invite in Rockford, IL.
On the Men's Varsity side they were able to finish in 12th place. Led by Junior Phil Heuser with games of 211, 233, 213, 211, and 204 and an average of 214.4 as well as 100% on single pin percentage for the weekend! Senior Sebastian Beth also had a stellar weekend with game of 239,177, 198, 207, and 233 for an average of 210.80 as well as 100% on single pins and 84% on multipins! Sebastian also struck 64.5% of his shots in the Baker games!
Junior Eric Roberts averaged 201.8 for the weekend with a 78% multipin percentage. Junir Griffin Roake contributed a 200.5 average coming off the bench as well as 100% in single pins and 83% on mulitpins.
Freshman Woodley Dangerfield average 187 for the weekend as well as was 85% on single pins. Senior James Kontos was 76% on multipins and Senior Cameron Jablonsky was 100% on single pins and 71% on multipins.
On the Men's JV1 side they were able to come away with a 10th place finish. This team came out of the box strong with a 1030 game and grab first place after game 1. Grad Student Jason Claus led all Judson Eagle Bowlers in qualifying with games of 185,226,236,207, and 225 for an average of 215.8. Jason was also 86% on single pins and struck 59% of the time on the weekend!
Freshman standout Noah Moreno average 195 for the weekend with a high game of 225. Noah was also 89% on single pins and 72% on multipins. Junior Parker Morris averaged 180.5 on the weekend and was 81% on single pins. Junior Connor Richmond averaged 180 on the weekend and had a high game of 230!
Freshman Toby Wamsley had a high game of 211 and Junior Adan Cabezudo was 90% on single pins for the weekend.
On the Men's JV2 side they were able to come away with an 11th place finish. Led by Sophomore Caleb Vergona who averaged 190.5 for the weekend as well as 84% on single pins and 75% on multipins. Freshman Matthew Camacho averaged 189 for the weekend as well as 85% on single pins and 75% on multipins. Freshman Aiden Schwichow averaged 186 with a high game of 214 and a strike percentage of nearly 50% on the weekend!
Senior Anthony Gutierrez averaged 182 for the weekend and was 75% on multipins. Senior Matthew Sipes averaged 177 for the weekend and had the high game on that team of 221 in game 3. Freshman Carson Davis also made big contributions on day 2 during baker going 87% on single pins and striking 53% on the time!
Next weekend the Varsity team heads to Wauwatosa Wisconsin for the Midwest Collegiate Classic event.
