Men Wrap Up Regular Season At Hoosier Classic
Indianapolis, IN - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Tier 1 Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN.
On the Men's Varsity side, the Eagles finished with a 32nd place finish out of 73 of the top College teams in the country.
The team had games of 1067, 1044, and 1005 to help on day 1 and baker games of 206, 236, 226, and 212 allowed us to jump from 37th to 32nd on day 2.
Led by Junior James Kontos who had an amazing day on Saturday with games of 203, 277, 195, 192, 222, and 233 for a 220.3 average and a 13th place finish out of over 350 college players. Jimmy was also 87% on single pins and stuck 52% of the time on the weekend.
Sophomore Eric Roberts had another solid weekend with games of 225, 256, 205, 161, 190, and 189 for a 204 average. Eric was also 86% on single pins and struck 55% of the time on the weekend. Junior Sebastian Beth averaged 184.3 on the weekend and was amazing on single pins going 18 for 18 and 100%. Sophomore Phil Heuser averaged 181 for the weekend and was 74% on multipins for the weekend.
Sophomore Griffin Roake came off the bench to provide a lift and he went 80% in single pins and struck 42% of the time. Senior Thomas Antonson started with a big 229 game on day 1 and was 68% on multipins for the weekend.
Other contributors were Freshman Caleb Parent and Sophomore Adan Cabezudo.
This concludes our regular season and now we wait for the sectional selections which will happen on Wednesday February 21st.
