Eagles Come Away With Top 15 Finish At Warhawk
Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Warhawk Open in Addison, IL.
On the Men's Varsity side, the Eagles came away with a top 15 finish. On day 2 of bakers the team was able to finish strong with games of 223 and 252!
Senior Thomas Antonson had a superb single pin percentage of 93% and a multipin percentage of 75%. Sophomore standout Eric Roberts had a 87% single pin percentage and a 72% multipin percentage. Junior James Kontos averaged 188 for the weekend, Sophomore Griffin Roake was solid at 82% on single pins and a 182 average. Junior Sebastian Beth average 187 for the weekend, Sophomore Phillip Heuser struck 42% of the time and Freshman standout Caleb Parent averaged 194 for his 2 games of play on Saturday.
On the Men's JV1 side we were able to finish top 15! Led by Senior Anthony Gutierrez who went 16 out of 17 on single pins spares for 94% and averaged 185 for the weekend! Freshman Brendan Jones had a single pin percentage of 80%. Freshman standout Caleb Vergona had a single pin percentage of 77% and a multipin percentage of 61% while averaging a team high 185.50 for the weekend. Sophomore Connor Richmond averaged 173 for the weekend with a high game of 230 and a strike percentage of 37.5%. Sophomore Adan Cabezudo had a strike percentage of 39%.
Other contributors on the weekend were Junior Matthew Sipes, Senior Aaron Paige, and Senior Logan Shears.
Says Head Coach Biondo, "We need to grow from these performances as this concludes the first half of competition!"
Next stop is the Kegel Championship in early January at Stardust Bowl in Addison!
