Eagles Post Quality Finish In Indy
Indianapolis, IN - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the Western Open in Indy. On the Men's side the Eagles came away with a top 15 finish in which they moved up 4 spots on day 2!
The team had a high game of 1026 on Saturday and was led by Sophomore Standout Eric Roberts who had an amazing day with games of 238,245,183,232,236, and 224 and an average of 226.3 on the day. Eric was also 88% on single pins and struck 57% of the time on the weekend as well as an overall fill percentage of 88%!
On Sunday the team averaged 207.8 during baker games as a team and had a high game of 246 in game 9. Sophomore Griffin Roake came off the bench to average 204.6 for his 5 games in qualifying and struck 55% of the time on Saturday. Senior Tom Antonson averaged 187 for the weekend and had an overall fill percentage of 80%. Junior Sebastian Beth went 12/14 on multpins for a percentage of 85.71%, Junior Jimmy Kontos was again solid with a 80 % single pin percentage, and Sophomore standout Phil Heuser had a stellar single pin percentage of 92.31% for the weekend and struck 54% of the time.
Others contributors on the weekend were Senior Anthony Gutierrez who average 179 and struck 51.72% of the time for the weekend and Freshman Caleb Parent who continues to learn and grow as a player.
The Eagles take to the lanes again in 2 weeks at the Boilermaker Classic in Lafayette, Indiana!
