Judson Bowling Finishes Regular Season at Hoosier Classic

Indianapolis, IN This past weekend the Judson Eagles bowling teams bowled the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN.
On the Ladies Varsity side, we were able to come away with a 39th place finish. Sophomore Tina Tindall led the way on Saturday with a 192.17 average for her eight games she also carried a 75% multipin %. Freshman Chloe Siezega made history this weekend when she converted the 7-10 split (per the attached video) – the first in Judson History. She averaged 183 for the weekend and carried a great single-pin spare rate of 100% - 20/20. Sophomore Alicia Anton had another solid weekend averaging 187.60! In the final regular-season tournament of her collegiate career, Angela Anzalone averaged 170.67 and had a multipin % of 69% for the weekend. Angela has always brought big-time energy to our squad, and her experience has been extremely valuable for our team this season. Other contributors for the weekend were Freshman Brandy Stewart (69% Mulitpins), Freshman Michele Chancey (100% on single pins 3/3), Freshman Marisa Garcia(55% on Mulitpins), and Freshman Delaney Brown(67% on single pins). The Hoosier Classic is the most challenging regular-season tournament where conditions are highly demanding. The Ladies started the Saturday portion of the tournament at 5 pm and we didn't end the competition until Sunday at 1:00 am.

On the Men's side, we were able to come away with a 51st place finish. Freshman standout Sebastian Beth led the team for the 2nd straight event with a 209.67 average and a superb muli-pin % of 92% and strike % pf 52%!! In his last regular-season tournament Senior Jake Alberts had an outstanding average of 208.50 for his 4 games bowled while striking 48% of the time. Jake has been a Captain for the past 2 seasons and has been a fantastic teammate and leader for our squad in all 4 of his seasons with us! Another Freshman Standout Owen Farish averaged 195.5 for the weekend and had a strike % of 40% and 80% on single pins. Freshman Jimmy Kontos contributed with a 178.17 average and a 86% Multi pin percentage. Sophomore Eddie Zurawski averaged 172.80 for the weekend and had a fantastic single pin % of 89%! Other contributors for the weekend were Sophomore Tom Antonson and Freshman Matt Sipes.

The Eagles now start the postseason and await the sectional selections which will be made tomorrow afternoon! Sectionals will be the weekend of March 12-13th – if the team is able to finish in the top 4 they will head to the ITC National Championships!
