Eagles Fall In Finale
Elgin, IL - On Saturday afternoon, the Eagles wrapped up their 2024-2025 season with a home matchup against Indiana South Bend. The second half of the season has been a difficult one for JU as they have not been able to get to the winner's circle since January 4th. The Eagles have good stretches at times, but have not always been able to get over the hump. Still, the effort has been evident on a nightly basis.
On this day, senior captain Cee Jay Nwosu put in a star effort in his final game in a Judson uniform, leading the way with 23 points. Nwosu also added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
The three point attempt came in the form of Bronson Bartuch as he was 4-9 shooting from long range, good for 12 points.
Fellow senior, in his final game, Trey Spires manufactured the offense with seven assists.
In extended minutes, Billy Brown III, knocked down a triple of his own and added four rebounds.
The Eagles were unable to qualify for the CCAC tournament this season.
Some of their season leaders include freshmen George Bellevue with 15.9 points per game, and 6.0 rebounds per game.
Bartuch led the way in 3 pointers made.
Spires was high in assists with 84, and Nwosu on the defensive end led JU with 40 steals.
The Eagles will fly high once again in 2025.
