Eagles Fall On The Road

Defiance, OH - For the third straight week, the Eagles were able to find the end-zone, but for the second straight week, they were not able to generate enough stops to bring home a victory. Judson fell 38-20 to the Defiance Yellow Jackets, dropping their record to 1-2 on the season. 

Quarterback Jake Parker threw for 341 yards, his highest output of the season, and two more touchdown passes. Something that the Eagles were able to avoid in their first two games was turning the ball over. However, on this afternoon, JU gave the ball away four times. 

Wide-out Grant Alexander Jr., had another solid day with 4 catches, 138 yards, and two more scores. One of those scores was a 49-yard home run ball. Struggling to find footing on the ground, Frank Adou became that secondary option in the passing game on this day pulling in 5 catches for 99 yards. 

Harrison Hannah was able to get the Eagles on the scoreboard with a 6-yard first quarter touchdown run. That score was his first of the season. 

On the defensive side of the ball, senior leader Jay Callentine had a 10 tackle effort. Three of those tackles were for loss, along with a quarterback hit. Jaylin Ware defended well on the outside with five tackles and three pass break ups. Jordan Sorenson added an interception for the defense. 

But what set the Eagles back was not being able to contain the run as Defiance ran for 270 yards and three touchdowns. 

Judson will have one more road trip before returning home for homecoming on the first weekend of October. Next week, they will take on Lawrence Tech. It will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
