Mackey Named NCCAA All-American as Further Recognition for Outstanding Performance

Greenville, SC The Judson University Football Program has its second NCCAA All-American recognition in its two seasons as running back Brandon Mackey has been recognized for his incredible efforts this season.

The sophomore running back turned heads this season as he broke numerous rushing records for the Eagles as the running attack became the focal point of the offense. Mackey led the NCCAA with 143.9 yards per game, was one of only three rushers with over 1,000 yards with 1,295 yards, and was third in the nation with 13 rushing touchdowns.

"This is such an outstanding honor for BMack," said Head Coach Dan Paplaczyk. "He has been consistently great all season for us, and this is just the capstone to his great season. Yet he seemed to be unaffected by it and finished with his strongest game of the year. As this tough season ends, it is great to know that we have guys like BMack that we can continue to build around going into next season."

Mackey becomes the second Eagle to be honored as wide receiver O'Vauntay Vickers earned a first-team All-NCCAA award last season.
