Judson (IL)
Elgin, IL - With CCAC playoffs in sight, the Eagles played host to Indiana South Bend for their final home games of the season on Friday. In the two games, the Judson fire power held nothing back. Across the two games, Judson scored 35 runs and hit 10 home runs.
Judson would go on to win both games, 14-7, and 21-3. With the first victory, JU officially clinched a spot in the conference tournament next week. With the sweep, and potentially one more win on Saturday, the Eagles could qualify for the #2 seed in the conference tournament played next week in Joliet.
In game one, Hudson Deal, Allan Navarro, and Nate Stempowski all hit home runs. Kevin Flores hit a pair of home runs in the win. Flores and Blake Stempowski led with 3 RBI's each.
Hudson Deal continues to be at the top of conference leaderboards. He has 10 home runs, to rank 3rd, and 55 RBI's to rank second. All with a broken hand. Pretty impressive from the first year Eagle.
Alijah Acevedo got the win on the mound pitching 5.1 innings and striking out seven.
In game two, the hitting did not stop there. Hayden Singley, Deal, Daley Thompson, Austin Stone, and Cesar Ortega all went deep in the game. Deal had five more RBI's in this game.
Matt Johnston got the win on the mound.
The Eagles will wrap up the regular season with two more games at Indiana South Bend on Saturday.
