Elgin, IL - The Eagles were back at it on Tuesday afternoon with another double header against conference foe Calumet. As of late, JU has been carried by an offense that is really seeing the ball well and racking up double digit hit games. In game one, they tallied 13 more hits.
Game one was a comeback bid in extra innings. Trailing 7-3 in the 6th inning, Judson got a four run inning to tie things up. Allan Navarro led things off with a home run. That was followed by Alijah Acevedo and Blake Stempowski adding RBI doubles to tie things up.
An 8th inning walk off walk by Blake Stempowski gave the Eagles an 8-7 win.
Earlier in the game, Daley Thompson ripped a solo home run to begin the Judson rally.
In game two, the double digit number was in the run column for Judson scoring 19 runs in a runaway 19-3 win.
JU had eight hits in the game, and were also aided by 16 free passes. The big blow was a three-run home run by Kevin Flores.
Hudson Deal added 4 RBI's in the game.
Brady Popovich was credited with the win in relief throwin three solid shutout innings with four strikeouts.
Now 7-1 in conference, Judson will take on Olivet Nazarene for a four game set on Thursday and Friday.
