Nery Completes Game And Sweep For Eagles
Batavia, OH - After coming off of three straight victories, the Eagles came out on Sunday afternoon looking for the four-game sweep. Playing well, the Eagles sent to the mound senior Adrian Nery, who started off the week with a victory.
The senior came out deling to really set the tone. Coming off of a 7 inning, 1 run effort against Culver Stockton, Nery went above and beyond against UC Clermont.
Nery went the distance going all 9 innings in a shutout effort allowing just three hits, against three strikeouts. He is now 2-0 on the season.
The offense which was dialed in all weekend, tallied single runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 9th innings.
Matt Armstrong scored on an errors in the third, Alijah Acevedo logged an RBI single in the 4th, and Allan Navarro had a pinch hit RBI knock in the 9th.
For the four game sweep against UC Clermont, Judson put up 43 runs. Kyle Schwartz, Nate Stempowski, and Daley Thompson were just a few of the stand out perforamces at the plate.
The Eagles are now 6-4, riding a 5 game winning streak. Weather pending, they will look to host Maranatha Baptist at Hoffer Field before heading down to Florida to play seven games during the annual spring break trip.
