Chicago, IL - On a steamy Saturday afternoon, the Eagles were able to come away with a split against St. Xavier. JU won game one 6-5, while dropping game two.
The Eagles were able to overcome spotting St. Xavier four runs in the first inning by scoring two each in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th. Judson out-hit the Cougars 11-9 with Zack Carpenter posting three knocks. Diego Munoz and Giovanni Davila added two hits each.
One of the big hits in the game was Benjamin Nelson's 5th inning home run. That gave JU a 5-4 lead that they were able to hang on to.
Adrian Nery went all seven innings to get the win.
