Elgin, IL - After a schedule swap of the home and home series, the Eagles opened up CCAC conference play at home against the Indiana South Bend Titans.
Game One of the double header was a well-played, quick moving game that did not see a base runner until the bottom of the 3rd inning.
The Eagles won the opener 4-0 behind a complete game two-hit shutout from Adrian Nery on the mound. It is his first victory on the season. Nery was solid and efficient on the mount only allowing one walk, while striking out seven.
The big knock in the game came from senior Timothy Ellinger with a two-run double. He also added an RBI ground out in the 5th inning.
Giovanni Davila plated the fourth run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 4th inning.
Judson did lose the second game of the double header moving their record to 1-1 in conference, and 4-12 overall on the season.
