Joliet, IL The Judson Eagles Baseball Team fell in both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday as the Eagles lost game one 2-0 and game two 9-4.
In the opener, Judson only mustered two hits as Adam Zeratsky had both singles for the Eagles. In addition, Zeratsky had a stolen base for the Eagles. Benjamin Nelson, Timothy Ellinger, and Alec MacLennan reached via walks. Matthew Johnston recorded a quality start as he allowed only two earned runs in six innings of work. He struck out three, walked three, and allowed four hits.
In the night cap, Judson got on the board early via a Giovanni Davila solo shot in the first. The Eagles then scored twice in the fifth. An Alec MacLennan single led to Max Freund scoring on an error on the same play. Christopher Marlin hit a sacrifice fly to score MacLennan. In the ninth, Nelson drove in Freund on a sacrifice fly. Taylor Abercrombie was on the hill for the Eagles and allowed six runs on five hits while walking two and allowing five hits. Jason Kelmm only allowed an earned run in three innings of relief.
Judson (7-21, 4-11 CCAC) hosts Roosevelt on Tuesday for a twin bill.
