Team Stats
Lakeland, FL The Judson University Baseball Team began the 2023 campaign facing the top-rated team in the NAIA as the Eagles fell to Southeastern 9-0.
Judson's lone hit in the contest was a triple by Adam Zeratsky in the fourth inning. Zeratsky appeared to have an inside-the-park home run, but was called out on an appeal following the play. Alec MacLennan, Christian Marlin, and Timothy Ellinger reached base via a walk.
Judson had six pitchers throw in the contest. Brandon Callender (0-1) threw 2.1 innnings, allowing three earned runs (four total) on six hits while walking four and striking out four. Taylor Abercrombie did not allow a run in 0.2 innings of work. Freshman Carter Kotwica pitched two scoreless innings, striking out three batters and walking two. Matthew Johnston struck out two in a scoreless inning of work.
Judson (0-1) faces Point Park in a doubleheader on Sunday.
