GASHAW ABEBE '75
Playing from 1972-74, Gashaw Abebe was a three-year player for the Judson men's soccer team back in the early days of the program's existence. In 1972, Abebe was named to the NIIC All-Conference team after leading his team with 19 goals and eight assists. As a junior, Abebe was a team captain and was named team Most Valuable Player. He led the team with 27 goals, which still stands as the sixth highest single-season mark for the program. He earned NAIA All-District and Outstanding College Athlete of America honors that season. Abebe finished with 48 goals scored and 11 assists in his career. His teams had winning seasons in each of the four years that he played.
