Recapping The Scholar Athletes Named For Women's Cross Country

Elgin, IL - After the fall cross country season concluded, the CCAC Conference, NCCAA, and NAIA released their 2023 Fall Scholar Athlete selections. 

For The Eagles' Women's Team, junior Annah Dulaney was named to all three lists. Dulaney majors in Elementary Education while compiling a GPA over 3.800. 

Sophomore McKinze Kearfott was named to the CCAC Conference list, as well as the NAIA list. Majoring in Accounting, Kearfott tallied a GPA over 3.600. 

The women's cross country team competed in six events this fall, with their top finish coming in the Trojan Invite on October 7th where they won first place. 

In that event, Kearfott recorded her best finish of her 2023 meets with a 5th place finish in the 5K event. However, her top 5K time came during the Seminole Valley Stampede with a time of 22:26:3. Her top 6K time was 27:21:3 coming at the NCC XC Invitational.
