Former Eagle Signs Professional Contract

Former Eagle Signs Professional Contract

Elgin, IL - The Judson Women's Soccer team has a reason to celebrate this week as one of their own is turning pro!

Former Eagle Alondra Blanco recently signed a professional contract with FC Juarez, making her the first Judson women's soccer player to reach the milestone.

Blanco, a forward played for JU from 2019-2022. In her career she tallied 44 goals, 17 assists, and 105 points. In the Judson record books, she ranks 6th all time in both goals scored and points.

Among her several accomplishments at Judson, she was named the 2022 Female Athlete of the Year, First Team CCAC and NCCAA All-Region in 2022, and an NAIA All-American honorable mention in 2021.

For long time Head Coach Diego Cevallos who was smiling ear to ear when seeing the news, "We have had the pleasure of having very talented players go through our soccer program here at Judson throughout the years. Blanco made a huge impact here at Judson and there's no doubt in my mind that she will make an immediate impact at FC Juarez. Blanco is a gifted complete player and what makes her stand out even more is her character and leadership. We are very proud of her and very excited to see her realize her goals and dream."

An official post was made on the team's Facebook Page

Congratulations Alondra!
