Eagles Comeback Bid Falls Short

Eagles Comeback Bid Falls Short

Gary, IN - The Eagles continue to battle hard down the stretch as they close out the 2023-2024 season.

On this night, they won the second half against IU Northwest, but could not quite overcome a down second quarter. This marks the third game out of the last four that this young team has been in the hunt come the fourth quarter. The effort and hard work is encouraging for what is being built within the program.

In a spot start, Bridget Grady played well and scored 12 points while adding 5 rebounds. This is the first time this season that the sophomore has scored double digit points.

Easton Kimball led the Eagles in both points and rebounds with 14 points and 10 rebounds. It is her fourth game in the last six scoring in double figures. It is also Kimball's second double double on the year.

The comeback bid may have come to fruition with a few more long balls. JU was just 2-17 from the arc. What did keep the Eagles in the game was outrebounding the Redhawks 46-32. That stat just goes to show the quality effort being put forth.

Judson has three games left on the season with a Saturday afternoon matchup at St. Francis next on the docket.
