Newcomers Lead Judson in Scoring in 61-50 Loss to Indiana-Northwest

Gary, IN.     The Judson University Women's Basketball Team opened their 2022 season with a conference game on Wednesday in Northwest Indiana. The Eagles led the contest 13-8 after one quarter, but the Redhawks took control of the game following a 19-8 run in the second quarter. 

 

Judson's double-digit scoring came from two of their newcomers. Carly Scheblo scored 15 points for the Eagles as she shot 4-9 from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line. Additionally, she added four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Audrey Quintana scored 12 points on 4-11 from the field, including shooting 2-5 from behind the arc, while also making both of her free-throw attempts. She added five rebounds and three assists. Easton Kimball scored seven points while adding 14 rebounds, two steals, and a block. 11 of Kimball's 14 rebounds came from the defensive end. 

 

Judson (0-1, 0-1 CCAC) faces St. Ambrose next Wednesday for their home opener at 5:30 p.m.
