Eagles Take Two Down In Florida

Clermont, FL - The Eagles were able to take both games on Thursday of their spring break trip down to Florida as a part of the 2024 Spring Break Games. 

In Game One, they defeated Dordt 5-4 in extra innings. Amelia Jimenez pitched all 8 innings for the victory, striking out 13 batters. She also added two runs for the offense. 

Tatyana Chavez had a big day with two hits, and an RBI. Braly Wiser also added two knocks, and an RBI. 

Amaya Chavez contributed three hits, and an RBI. 

In the 8th inning, the game winning RBI was brought home by Grace Pekoc

 

In their second game of the day, the Eagles took down Bellevue 3-2. In the contest, JU pounded out 13 combined hits. 

Bella Farias and Lexie Knowles each had two hits. Braly Wiser continued her solid play with two more RBI's. 

In what would prove to be the game winner, Tatyana Chavez belted a 3rd inning home run, her first of the season, giving the Eagles a 3-2 lead. Chavez had three total hits in the game. 

In the circle, Kennedy Dietz was credited with the win. She allowed no runs, and just one hit. 

 

The Eagles wrap up their Florida stay with two more games on Friday.
