Eagles Pick Up First Victory Behind Jimenez' Dual Effort

Minneola, FL - Down in the sunshine state, the Eagles found themselves in the win column for the first time in the 2024 campaign. 

A day after falling to Mount Vernon Nazarene, JU came back to defeat the Cougars 7-3. 

Pacing the Eagles was Amelia Jimenez. In the circle, Jimenez went all 7 innings for the win. She held the Cougars to just 3 runs, 2 earns, and limited free passes with zero walks allowed. 

Helping her own cause, Jimenez also went 3-3 with a double, rbi, and two runs scored. 

Also having a day at the dish was Tatyana Chavez. She went 3-4 with a double and four rbi's. 

Amaya Chavez added two hits. 

The Eagles will continue their spring break week down in Florida at the 2024 Spring Games.
