Eagles Sweep, Advance In CCAC Tournament

Elgin, IL - On Tuesday night, the CCAC Playoffs begun inside the Lindner Center. As the #4 seed, the Eagles took on the Trinity Christian Trolls, who just five days ago upset the Eagles on the same court.

On this night, it was all JU. The Eagles, in control from the start, took the straight set victory 25-21, 25-20, 25-23.

Mason Snodgrass and Elijah Gregg each had nine kills for JU. Elijah Wrobel had 29 assists. Jackson Otto had 10 digs.

A big key in the game was the Trolls 17 service errors.

The Eagles now advance to the CCAC Semi-finals on Friday night when they take on the #1 seed, and ranked St. Xavier Cougars.

This is the exact spot that the Eagles want to be in, and have prepared for all season long. The last two seasons have seen the Eagles' season come to an end at the hands of the Cougars. Will the third time be the charm?

All of the preparation, off-season workouts, and training have been for this exact contest. To be on the same court as the bench-mark Cougars in the postseason.

Friday is now the date with destiny for Judson.

With a win, the Eagles will play for the conference championship on Saturday afternoon.
