Eagles Advance to Second Consecutive CCAC Title Match with Four-Set Win over Olivet Nazarene

Chicago, IL   The Judson University Men's Volleyball Program advanced to its second consecutive CCAC Championship Match following a four-set victory over Olivet Nazarene 25-21,25-18,21-25,25-20. The win not only marked a minor upset (3rd versus 2nd seed), but it is also the first time this season that the Eagles have defeated ONU in three total matches. 

 

Brendan Gibbons and Elijah Gregg each had 12 kills to co-lead the Eagles. Gibbons hit the highest hitting percentage (.611) in addition to his two digs and one block assist. Gregg had four digs, two service aces, and a solo block. Greg Geake added nine kills, two block assists, and a dig. Trevor Kozlowski recorded eight kills and a block assist. Mason Snodgrass had eight kills, seven digs, two assists, and a service ace.

 

Setter Elijah Wrobel had 45 assists while recording three kills of his own. Wrobel was able to add five digs, two aces, and a block assist to the stat sheet. Libero Jackson Otto recorded the most digs finishing with 14 while also contributing with a service ace.
