Judson Walks Away With Win in Close 4-Set Victory Over Trinity Christian

Elgin, IL.     The Judson University Men's Volleyball Team is now 5-0 in CCAC play and 11-3 overall with a win at home versus Trinity Christian College. The Eagles came out the first set strong winning by a significant margin but the Trolls answered back in set two tying the sets. Judson came out victorious after winning back-to-back sets in the 4-set match 25-16,25-27,27-25,25-18.

 

The Eagles were led by an outstanding performance by Greg Geake who led the team in kills with 14. Geake's front-row efforts also included two block assists. On the outside, Mason Snodgrass had 12 kills in addition to six digs, two block assists, two assists, and one ace. Elijah Gregg racked up eight kills, ten digs, three service aces, and one block assist. Middles Brendan Gibbons and Trevor Kozlowski finished with a combined 16 kills. Gibbins had contributed nine kills, four block assists, and two digs while Kozlowski contributed seven kills, two block assists, and a solo block. Alejandro Martinez's efforts from the back row earned him seven digs and one assist.

 

Elijah Wrobel had a plentiful amount of hitting opportunities at the setting position finishing with an impressive seven kills along with his 43 assists. Wrobel also added seven digs, one ace, and a block assist to the stat sheet. Libero Jackson Otto finished the game with the most digs which were 11. He also assisted eight kills. 

 

Judson continues the week with a game against Edgewood College on Wednesday.
