Hammond, IN - This afternoon, in the first round of the CCAC playoffs, the #7 seed Judson Eagles took down the #2 seed Governors State Jaguars by a score of 2-1. 

The Eagles got a first half goal from Inigo Capellan, his sixth of the season, and assisted by Vitor Costa. 

In the second half, the Jaguars tied the game at one in the 51st minute. But, just two short minutes later, Judson answered with a goal from Martin Wainstein, also his sixth of the season, and assisted by Samuel Chavez. 

That quick response goal was the difference as JU outlasted Gov State the rest of the way, taking home the victory. 

Judson will now advance to the semi finals on Wednesday November 8th against the winner of the Roosevelt vs Saint Francis matchup. The Eagles will be on the road against either team.
