Eagles Start Fast, Earn Tie

Elgin, IL - Monday afternoon marked the opener for the Judson Men's Soccer Team. The Eagles flew out of the gates in a hurry scoring two goals within the first four minutes of the game, before ultimately earning a tie against the Graceland Yellow Jackets. 

Junior Matheus Duarte Niteroi, Brazil) opened the scoring with a beautiful header into the net, while senior Samuel Chavez (Manila, Philippines) punched in the second goal. The third goal was added in the second half by sophomore Rafael Barreto (Cristalina, Brazil). 

The play was fased pace and physical throughout the match. Aiding in the scoring for the Eagles were assists by Gabriel Trevisan (Caxias Do Sul, Brazil) and Pablo Escobar (Madrid, Spain). For Judson, goalie Gerardo Perez added four saves. 

The Eagles are next in action Thursday at home against Taylor with an afternoon start time.
