Sippy Wins Individual Title, Women Win Team Title at Trinity Christian

Worth, Ill.  The Judson University Men's and Women's Golf Teams had impressive showings at the Trinity Christian Troll Classic on Wednesday in the south suburbs. The Women's Team won their second consecutive event this week, while freshman Alex Sippy led the men's squad with a first-place individual finish. 

 

Sippy's Judson debut was impressive as he finished with a 79 (+7) on the afternoon. Blake Foster (84, +12) and RJ McCoy (87, +15) finished in eighth and ninth overall respectively. Patrick Owens shot a 90 (+18), while Bodhi Bralich (92, +20) and Timmy Ellinger (98, +26) rounded out the Men's Squad. 

 

On the ladies' side, Judson had five of the tournament's top 8 finishers. Grace Kidwell had a 91 (+19) to finish third overall. Lauren Semerau shot one stroke higher (92, +20) to finish in fourth place. Emma Walberg finished in sixth place with a 101-stroke finish (+29). Izzabella Cleaveland finished in eighth with a 104 (+32). Syndey Novak shot a 117 (+45) and Sara Mohr shot a 118 (+46) as individual participants. 

 

The women play this weekend in the Carthage Invite, while the men will next participate in the Governor's State invite on September 7.
