Eagles Finish Strong At ISC Sectionals

Addison, IL - This past weekend the Judson Eagles competed at the USBC ITC Sectionals event in Addison, IL

More history was made on the Men's side as well!  Sophomore standout Phil Heuser finished 9th out of 273 competitors and had a fantastic performance posting games of 215, 233, 192, 235, 247, and 246 for a 1368 total and a 228 average.  Phillip was only 11 pins away from punching his ticket to Nationals.  Phillip made history as his 9th place finish is the highest on the men's side in Judson Bowling History.

Over this past 2 seasons Phillip has continued to develop his physical and mental game as well as his bowling IQ, and focus has gone to another level.  As only a Sophomore this sets him and our team up very well for the next 2 seasons of competition.

Junior Sebastian Beth had a solid performance with games of 238, 218, 208, 237, 176, and 224 for a 1301 total and a 216.8 average.  Sebastian has been a tremendous talent and leader for our team these past 3 seasons, and we look forward to an Outstanding Senior season from him.

Anthony Gutierrez finished with a 1215 set and a 202.5 average and a 97th place finish.  Freshman Caleb Vergona finished 171st, Junior James Kontos finished 180th, Sophomore Griffin Roake finished 188th, Freshman Caleb Parent finished 222nd, Junior Matthew Sipes finished 229th, Senior Thomas Antonson finished 234th, Sophomore Adan Cabezudo finished 236th, and Senior Aaron Paige finished 269th.

On the Men's side of things the team came away with a 14th place finish.  This team has shown so much potential as they put up some massive games.  Game 2 the team shot 278 and then followed with 189, 211, 201, 199.  Game 14 of the first 16 games of baker they again posted a 278 game!  In games 17-32 they had high games of 226, 201, 200, 215, 214, 202, 222, and 236 finishing day 1 in 11th.  Games 33-48 had high games of 245, 201, 200, and games 49-64 had high games of 270, 221, 241, and 210.  The team knocked down 12,072 pins for the weekend and a team average for the event was 188.62.  It took a 205.04 average to make it to Nationals.
