Eagles Host First Homecoming Football Game in 58-19 Loss to #14 ONU

Carpentersville, Ill. The Judson University homecoming weekend was capped off with the Eagles' first homecoming football game. Judson fell to #14 Olivet Nazarene 58-19.

Judson's scoring drives included a successful second-quarter drive that was capped off by Christian Miller finding O'Vauntay Vickers for 10 yards with five seconds remaining. Judson scored in their opening second-half possession on another 10-yard connection from Miller to Dakari Ferguson. The Eagles' final tally came late in the fourth quarter with Ryan Otey scoring on a two-yard QB scramble.

Miller led Judson in passing with 145 yards and two scores. Otey added 52 yards passing and 26 yards rushing. Vickers continues to shine as the Eagles' top receiver as he recorded 143 yards receiving and added a touchdown. Ferguson finished with 30-yards receiving and added a touchdown. Franklin Sayers had an interception defensively, and successfully converted a fake punt rush of 20 yards. David Dunbar led the team with eight tackles, including one for a loss. DeMarius Farmer continues to be one of the top tacklers with six. Chance Creegan (6) and Jontrell Mitchell (5) were among the leading tacklers and each had one for a loss.

Judson (1-4) hosts St. Ambrose next Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
